Cruisin Classics would like to introduce to you to a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle. This Red colored beast has had a couple of modifications that will get you to the next light at a pretty good clip. The Red paint is driver quality and will still turn heads. A couple notable mods are the engine, 355ci engine (bore .30 over), a Turbo 400 automatic transmission all coming together with a Mosier, 12-bolt, POSI, 3:56 geared, Detroit Locker rear end. The hood and front fenders are fiberglass. The hood has locks and completely removable by removing the pins. The tires and wheels look fantastic on the car. BF Goodrich Radial T/As (225/55/16) wrapped around Voxx Aluminum Wheels. The suspension has been lowered an inch overall and has an anti-roll bar in the front. The stated 834 miles on the odometer are NOT ACCURATE.
The 4-bolt main, bore .30 over, 355 will give you all shes got. Some of the main components are a Victor Junior intake manifold, Edelbrock 650cfm Carburetor, MSD Electronic Ignition, dual pusher fans, Moroso Gold valve covers, breather and working our way back are the Headman Headers that lead to the Hooker Mufflers. The sound that comes out of that exhaust is very, very pleasing to the Hot-Rod guy that likes to hear the thump and rumble of a loping cam. The engine sits in a compartment of easy access as the inner fender walls have been deleted. The transmission is a 3-speed Turbo 400 with a 2500 stall. Approximately 1500 miles on motor and trans and 400 miles on the rear end. The previous owner was kind enough to buy you a new battery too!
The first thing you will notice different than usual is the custom dash and gauges. The gaugesAutoMeter Sport-Comp 5X (tach., MPH, fuel, water, oil, volts). It is a Black Racing Bucket interior with Racing seat belts, Automatic B&M floor shifter, JVC Stereo CD with detachable face matched with Kicker Speakers front and back. The dash also houses the clearly marked toggles, speakers and heater control. The trunk houses a fuel cell as the tank has been taken out of play. There is also a cut-off switch located directly under the back-license plate holder.
Make no mistake, this car is special and full of muscle. It is one that you will have to see yourself or send a third-party on your behalf to make sure that this is what you are looking for. Its latest duties have been to go fast and it will do that in spades. Its not a race car but it sure acts like one.
