Cruisin Classics has a real treat for you MOPAR fans rolling into our showroom today – this stunningly original 1972 Road Runner with 62,368 actual miles! Resprayed once in it's original factory FE5 Red paint with black transverse stripes, this Plymouth really grabs the eye. Closer inspection of the body reveals all original sheet metal including rust-free floor pans, trunk floor, quarter panels, and trunk floor extensions. This car still wears it's original paint in the engine compartment, door jams, and trunk compartment and is very nice. The exterior also features front chin spoilers, the desireable Go-Wing on the rear in contrasting black, and excellent quality brightwork. Completing the aggressive look are a set of American Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich TA radials. This beauty looks like it's going fast while sitting still! Speaking of going fast, let's take a look at what's under the hood. As advertised on the hood, this Road Runner features a numbers matching 6.6 liter 400ci High Performance V-8! While in the tidy engine bay, you'll see a 4bbl 750cfm Edelbrock carburetor, Chrysler electronic ignition, power steering, and power brakes. Making the sound of this ride match it's appearance are coated headers with X-Pipe and Flowmaster Mufflers coming out of original style slotted exhaust tips. Power from the 400 is transferred to the rear wheels via a numbers matching New Process 833 4-speed transmission and an 8 ¾” Chrysler posi-traction rear end with 3:23 gears – allowing for some fun highway driving. Stopping power comes from power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors on the front and drums on the rear. Open the drivers door and you're greeted by a beautiful original interior with a two-tone black & gray bench seat, original working AM radio, shoulder belts, 150mph speedometer, 2-speed wipers, black carpet in excellent condition, a tight headliner, Sun Tune dash tach, and the cherry on top...a pistol-grip shifter. Even the dome light, glovebox light, and door buzzer work! A quick look in the trunk reveals the original jack assembly and original spare wheel with General F70-14 tire. Plymouth made less than a thousand of these 400ci 4 speed cars in 1972, making this an unbelievably rare find for any MOPAR lover. Act fast, before some coyote snags this bird first!
