Cruisin Classics is pleased to present this 1968 Dodge Coronet “Super Bee Tribute”. This car was originally a Coronet 440 with a 318ci V-8, but has been modified to appear and drive like a Super Bee. While this car is cool-looking, loud, fast, and rowdy, it does have some areas that could use some TLC to take it to the next level. Dressed in driver-quality yellow paint, this Dodge features a black fiberglass hood with a scoop, hold-down pins, and a “Six-Pack” sticker on both sides of the scoop. The rear of the car sports black stripes with Super Bee logo, a trunk lid with raised center spine, black paint around the tail-light section for a nice accent, and dual chrome exhaust tips. Chrome trim around all 4 wheel wells and the door edges is in good condition and adds to the look. The window glass is nice and clear as well as lightly tinted. Up front you'll find an egg-crate grill with Dodge lettering flanked by dual headlamps. The headlight bezel trim could stand to be repainted for a more perfect look. Both front and rear bumpers are in good condition with a nice shine. This Dodge has an aggressive stance as it sits atop American Racing Wheels with BF Goodrich Comp TA Drag Radials on the rear and BF Goodrich Radial TA's up front. When you lift off the hood you'll find a 440ci V-8 bored .30 over and topped with a 750 Edelbrock carburetor in the engine bay. This mean V-8 is mated to a 727 3-speed automatic transmission with an 8 ¾ rear-end and 3:91 posi-traction gears. While in the engine bay you'll notice a power steering unit that was disconnected by the previous owner due to a leak – so it's currently a manual steering car. Brakes are power with discs in the front and drums in the rear. When you go to open the drivers door you'll see that it does have a slight sag and does not line up as perfectly as it should. The passenger door is properly aligned though. Inside the car is a nice black interior with working courtesy lights, vinyl/cloth bucket seats, and a vinyl bench in the rear. There is a full length center console between the seats that houses a B&M Slap-Shifter and sports a Super Bee emblem. The storage box on the center console will need a minor repair to it's door. The dash is still a Coronet dash and it houses the original AM radio (inop.). The glovebox needs a minor latch repair to work as it should. An Autogage tachometer with shift light has been mounted under the top of the dash and there are Autogage oil, voltage, and water temp. gauges under the center bottom of the dash. Also mounted under the dash is a Dual AM/FM/CD stereo with a thumb-operated remote on the steering wheel. This car was originally a column-shift and though the shift arm has been removed, the indicators are still present. Both doors have original-style panels in good condition, with the driver's side featuring an interior side mirror control. The black carpet looks newer and is kept nice with carpeted Super-Bee logo floormats. The headliner is tight and overhead shoulder safety restraints are present. Around back in the trunk is a full size spare wrapped in a BF Goodrich Radial TA. If you're a Mopar fan who likes your cars fast and loud but you don't want to pay today's high prices for a true Super Bee, this is your opportunity to have all of the fun at less than half the price!
